PIPING SYSTEM

RTP (Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe) Special Pipe

The structure of RTP consists of a polyethylene carrier pipe that is wrapped with various reinforcing fibers or resins, followed by an outer coating. The material inserted into the intermediate layer varies depending on each manufacturer's proprietary design, but commonly used materials include engineering plastics, fibers, and steel-based components.

  • 01
The inner layer is made of PE (polyethylene), which provides excellent chemical resistance, making the pipe suitable for transporting various media such as crude oil, gas, and water. (e.g., brine, CO₂, H₂S, etc.).
  • 02
HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is highly resistant to abrasion, friction, and impact, and also shows strong resistance to chemicals and ultraviolet radiation, making it an ideal material for outdoor applications.
  • 03
PE is a flexible material, allowing RTP pipes to be manufactured and transported in coil form. This significantly reduces the number of joints required during long-distance pipeline installation, shortening construction time, lowering costs, and providing excellent pipeline stability.
  • 04
The smooth inner surface prevents any scale buildup. Therefore, it is well suited for use in coastal areas or seawater intake piping systems.
