Corrugated Optic Duct Conduit (COD Pipe)

KUPP's series of Corrugated Optic Duct Conduit is widely used across urban infrastructure facilities, telecommunications networks, road and transportation systems, as well as inside and outside data centers.
With excellent mechanical strength and ease of installation, these conduits are applied in projects by major domestic and overseas telecommunications companies, construction firms, road authorities, and railway corporations.

Features of COD Conduit

  • The inherent properties of PE ensure outstanding resistance to external impacts. Its corrugated structure provides superior protection against external forces, with no deformation due to soil pressure.
  • Made of HDPE, the conduit is free from corrosion and material degradation, ensuring long-term durability.
  • As an integrated inner-outer conduit manufactured in a single process, it eliminates the need for separate inner duct installation, reducing construction complexity and shortening the project duration.
  • The inner surface of the inner duct is coated with silicone, which reduces friction during cable pulling and makes cable installation easier and more efficient.

FR-LSZH Flame-Retardant COD Conduit

The FR-LSZH flame-retardant COD conduit is the world's first non-toxic, flame-retardant protective conduit for optical fiber and power cables.
By combining the excellent mechanical and physical properties of HDPE with non-toxic flame-retardant additives, it offers outstanding fire resistance while being completely safe for human health, making it a high-performance piping product.
This product is an essential protective conduit solution for environments where public safety and human protection are critical, as it minimizes toxic gas emissions and suppresses flash flames in the event of a fire.

LSZH layer / Homogeneous structure | Double-layer structure (Outer layer: LSZH / Inner layer: HDPE)
FR (Fire Retardant) – Flame-Retardant Properties
“Flame retardancy” refers to the property of delaying ignition when exposed to flame, or self-extinguishing once the flame source is removed. While general HDPE is highly combustible, KUPP's FR-LSZH COD conduit uses non-toxic flame-retardant additives to slow the combustion rate and suppress the spread of fire.
LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) – Low Smoke and Non-Toxic Properties
LSZH materials emit little to no toxic halogen gases, such as chlorine-based gases, in the event of a fire, and produce a very low level of smoke. This significantly enhances safety for both human occupants and structural environments during fire incidents.

Optical Communication Cable Protective Conduit (SCD Conduit)

To minimize the coefficient of friction generated during the installation of optical fiber cables or electric wires, the inner surface is coated with silicone, reducing the friction coefficient by more than 80% compared to conventional inner ducts. In addition, it is available in five colors to maximize convenience during installation.

SCD Conduit - Point of Maximum Friction, Cable, Lubricant

SCD Conduit

As optical fiber cables pass over a silicone-coated inner surface with excellent lubricity, heat generation is prevented and the coefficient of friction is reduced. This enables easier installation and provides effective protection for the cables.

Non-Silicone SCD Conduit - Point of Maximum Friction, Cable, Lubricant

Non-Silicone SCD Conduit

Frictional heat is generated during installation, requiring the application of lubricant. In curved sections, the lubricant is pushed away, causing direct contact between the cable and the inner duct. This increases the coefficient of friction during installation and may result in cable damage.
